Hysteria Sports Bar seeks to expand the excitement and reach of women's sports, be a community gathering place, and foster greater understanding of women athletes and their experiences.

Hysteria Sports Bar is a welcoming bar and restaurant where fans of all ages and genders celebrate women athletes, strangers become friends, quality drinks flow freely, memorable food draws repeat customers and inclusivity is always on the menu!

We operate as a team and naturally have one another’s backs, no matter our roles. We actively seek out our teammates' thoughts, recognizing that we are much stronger together than we are as individuals.
We are committed to continuous learning—from our teammates' perspectives, experiences, roles, and responsibilities, and from the evolving worlds of women’s sports and hospitality. We grow together and share knowledge openly.

Who is Hysteria for?
Everyone who is 100% human. We are building Hysteria for our multigenerational, ethnically and racially diverse community of many statuses, nationalities, and pronouns. Welcome to the East Bay!
Sports expertise?
Not necessary. No pre-reqs at this party. Interest is everything. We learn together!
Food?
Yes. Our menu will feature savory pub grub with lots of dips and fresh salads.
Drinks?
All of them. Quality cocktails served down. Spirits produced by women. CA made beer and wine. Cider. N/A beverages. Tea. Coffee.
Kids?
Yes. Bring them. The ones that won’t hurt themselves if Mom does a victory lap!
Dogs?
We hope to acquire a space with a patio. We’re already inspired to design Hysteria merch for your pooch!
When?
2026 is the target year, but this largely depends on our following and funding. Props to those sharing Hysteria with all their folks!
Location?
We’re working on funding first. Then we’ll search Oakland far and wide for the right 2nd gen. spot. Holla, if you got a rich auntie!
Merch?
Not yet, but we are having a blast designing it! The only improvement would be a collaboration with Oaklandish - drop us a message if you have a connect!

How will Hysteria compete with other women’s sports bars?
Why competition? We are lucky to learn from and support the existing women's sports bars and the inspiring badasses behind them! Of course, Hysteria will have an East Bay flare because we all build these hubs for our surrounding communities.

We are friends, teammates and enthusiastic fans! We believe that supporting women's sports should be easier and more fun! We're done negotiating with traditional, male centered sports bars to show the game. No more texting the fam to borrow streaming logins. We're tired of missing out on the ecstatic group watch in public with our friends.
